This week we went on our first visit to Our Lady's High School of 2015. We are really pleased that they invited us back. Miss Whitehead has said that it is because we work so hard and are really polite and respectful.
We started the lesson with the alphabet. We had to name an animal that started with every letter. We came up with LOADS!
After this activity, we started to look at invertebrates and vertebrates. Luckily, we have been learning about invertebrates and vertebrates at school. The teacher was really impressed with all of our knowledge! We carried out an activity where we had to stand up if the animal she showed us was a vertebrate and sit down when she showed us an invertebrate. We did a great job.
Did you know that we are vertebrates? We have around 205 bones!
Kai's favourite part of the lesson was watching a video which told us about the different groups of vertebrates and their special features.
Sean learnt that all mammals have hair and are warm blooded and that amphibians use gills to breath under water. We used what we leant to decide which group a selection of animals belonged to.
